Beni Ourain Rugs

Beni Ourain carpets are made by 17 separate Berber tribes who also go by the name Beni Ourain. Such carpets may be found in the Middle Atlas Mountains. These carpets are made from wool collected from a local sheep breed in the Beni Ourain area. In addition to the traditional straight or zigzag geometric patterns, these carpets often have black and white diamond-shaped patterns. The carpet's foundation is a neutral colour, typically off-white or cream. For example, like other Moroccan rugs, Beni Ourain has abstract geometric designs, Talisman symbols, and motifs from the Berber culture. These carpets are quite comfortable to the touch due to the use of wool in their creation.

Boujad Rugs

The Boujad is a popular style of Moroccan rug that can be found throughout Morocco. Boujad rugs come in many different colors and patterns, but they all share the same basic design elements including diamonds and squares that make up their borders.
